There are two very well-known amusement parks in Korea. Lotte World and Everland.
I went to Lotte World twice: once with the school club, KUBA, and once with my friends. When I went with KUBA, they got tickets at a discounted rate of 30,000 KRW, which was around $22 at the time. We went on a Sunday and spent the whole day there. Although we stayed for a long time, we didnāt get to go on many rides. I rode a total of six rides: Battlegrounds World Agent, Gyro Spin, The Comet Express, The Conquistador, Flume Ride, and French Revolution.
When I went with my friends, we visited on a Friday, and it was much more crowded, with group field trips also taking place. We booked our tickets on Klook for around $30 and rented school uniforms for about 20,000 KRW, which was around $18 USD. The lines were super long, and many people smartly brought foldable chairs to sit on while waiting. We only managed to ride The Comet Express, The Conquistador, and Bumper Cars, and we went inside the castle for the Dark Moon World experience. So in total, we only rode three rides. However, we were able to do a Dark Moon-themed photobooth, which was fun.
My favorite ride was The Comet Express. Traveling to Lotte World was pretty easy since you can take the subway or bus. It's located in Jamsil, which isn't too far away. From Anam, it was about an hour by subway.
I personally enjoyed Everland more because the lines were shorter and there were more rides and attractions to see. The ticket was around $33 USD, and we bought it through Klook. From Anam, it took almost 2 hours and 30 minutes to get there because the first bus was full. The buses to Everland are double-deckers with limited seating. Since my friends and I met up and there weren't three seats available, we had to wait for the next bus, which delayed our trip. So, make sure to plan ahead and arrive early.
Everland is very big and has numerous attractions. My favorite was visiting the pandas at Panda World. I love pandas, and the Bao family in Korea is very well-known. The family includes Le Bao, Ai Bao, Fu Bao, Rui Bao, and Hui Bao, along with their caretakers, referred to as the grandpas and aunty.
We spent the whole day there, so I recommend arriving right when they open. There's an Everland app where you can book attractions to visit with your friends, but it's competitive, so make sure to reserve spots right away.
At Everland, we visited Panda World, Rolling X-Train, Columbus Adventure, Racing Coaster, Thunder Falls, Magic Swing, Bumper Cars, and the Royal Jubilee Carousel, among other attractions. There was also a special event featuring RIIZE called EVERRIIZE, held inside a maze.
In addition to the rides, there were beautiful spots like the Rose Garden, photobooths, gift shops, and toy shops. The food options were plentiful, with stalls offering ice cream, daifuku, hot dogs, corn dogs, chicken, churros, slushies, and more.
I would definitely go back again, so I highly recommend visiting Everland!
