To apply for the D-2-6 student visa to Korea, you will need to visit the Korean consulate in Hawai'i.
Although their website says they allow walk-ins, as of now, Summer 2024, the consulate does not accept any walk-ins.
YOU NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!!

Allow the consulate ~3 weeks to process your application.
​
If you are of Korean descent, please note that there may be additional documents you need to provide, and different regulations may apply. Be sure to do your research before visiting the consulate.

If your application is successful, you will receive a paper with instructions on how to check the status of your visa application. Once your visa is issued, you will be able to download a PDF copy.

If you do not hold a U.S. passport, you must provide the original physical U.S. green card or long-term visa along with a colored photocopy of it

You must sign at the bottom of the original certificate of admission after reading it.

Bank Statements​​

You must provide the past 3 months of bank statements

The bank statement balance needs to be more than the estimated amount of expenses on the Original Certificate of Admission from your partner school

For KUBS, it was 6,000,000â‚© (approximately $4,450) as of Fall 2024.

You can submit your own bank statements as well as your parents', if needed.

Your original birth certificate will be used as proof of your relationship.

If you are submitting a scholarship, the letter must specify the amount, what the scholarship is for, and it must be signed/sealed by the dean/president of the school/university or scholarship granting organization.
