Consulate's VISA Requirements: Consulate VISA Requirements ​

• VISA Application

  • View application here​

  • Print the application and pre-fill it. If you are confused about any part of the application, leave it blank, and the staff will guide you. It can be printed single-sided or double-sided

​

• Original Passport & Colored Photocopy

  • Passport must have more than 6 months of validity​

  • If you do not hold a U.S. passport, you must provide the original physical U.S. green card or long-term visa along with a colored photocopy of it

​

• Passport Photo (2in x 2in)​

  • Must be taken within 6 months

​

• Original Hawaii State Issued ID & Colored Photocopy​

​

• Original Certificate of Admission

  • Provided by your partner university in your admission packet​

  • Print out the email you received for the exchange program admission packet

  • You must sign at the bottom of the original certificate of admission after reading it.

​

• Certificate of Business Registration (Business Certificate of School from Korea)

  • Provided by your partner university in your admission packet​

  • Print out the email you received for the exchange program admission packet

​

• Bank Statements​​

  • You must provide the past 3 months of bank statements

  • The bank statement balance needs to be more than the estimated amount of expenses on the Original Certificate of Admission from your partner school

    • For KUBS, it was 6,000,000₩ (approximately $4,450) as of Fall 2024.

  • You can submit your own bank statements as well as your parents', if needed.

    • Your original birth certificate will be used as proof of your relationship.

  • If you are submitting a scholarship, the letter must specify the amount, what the scholarship is for, and it must be signed/sealed by the dean/president of the school/university or scholarship granting organization.

• Transcript​​​

  • Must be an official paper copy SEALED.​

    • The e-transcript used for the partner school application cannot be used for VISA application.​

• Original Birth Certificate & Photocopy​​

• Letter of Recommendation​​​

  • Must be from your current school​ (You can email the MIX advisor or a professor)

  • The MIX guide does not include LoR, but the consulate requires LoR for a D-2-6 student VISA. Prepare just in case

  • If you receive your LoR through email, print out the email.​
