During the last week of September, KU and Yonsei held the Ko-yeon Games on the 27th and 28th. The event consists of five games: baseball, ice hockey, basketball, rugby, and football. However, this year rugby wasn't held due to an incident that occurred earlier in the year. Both universities gave their all in the remaining four games.

I had so much fun watching and cheering for two days! I thought we'd just be sitting and watching the games, but I was SO wrong. We were basically cheering and standing the whole time while the games were going on. You definitely need to be good at multitasking!

The weather was extremely sunny and hot on the day of the baseball game, the 27th. I recommend applying sunscreen regularly so you don't get sunburnt like I did. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch basketball or ice hockey in person because I didn’t have tickets, which were distributed via raffle if you attended the second and third cheering events. However, I watched basketball through a live stream and got really into it. Later that night, my friends and I went to Sogang University to watch 10cm and Le Sserafim perform. KU won baseball and ice hockey, while Yonsei won basketball.

On the 28th, the football game was held. It was intense, and I was fully invested in watching it. There were many exciting moments, and near the end, the score was 1-1. Sadly, KU lost, and Yonsei took the win. This year’s overall game results were KU 2, Yonsei 2—a draw. After the game, there was an after-party in both Anam and Sinchon, where KU and Yonsei students came together to celebrate. What shocked and amazed me was that after 10:00 PM, the entire Anam street was filled with free food and drinks, provided and sponsored by alumni! I stayed out until 2 AM before heading back to my dorm, but I was even more surprised when I heard that some people didn’t return to their residences until 4 or 5 AM!

School Update:

I'm really enjoying my marketing classes; they're easy to understand and very engaging. My traditional Korean culture class is also super interesting, with the different perspectives students bring to discussions. However, finance is making me cry. I'm trying my best to understand what’s going on, but it’s more difficult than I expected. Hopefully, I can grasp the material better and improve!

Enjoy some pics/clips I took :)
